Professor Dinesh Singh Vice Chancellor (2010-2015),University of Delhi
Prof. Dinesh Singh has served as the Vice Chancellor of Delhi University (2010-15) & the Director, South Campus, Delhi University (2005-10). He has been awarded the Padma Shri by the President of India in 2014. He has been conferred honorary doctorates-for his work as a mathematician and educationist-by the University of Edinburgh; the National University of Ireland, Cork; the University of Houston, Houston, USA and the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra. He is member of the Scientific Advisory Committee to the Union Cabinet, Govt. of India and is Adjunct Professor of Mathematics at the University of Houston, U.S.A. He is the Director of the Mathematical Sciences Foundation.He has been a recipient of the Career Award of the UGC and AMU Prize of the Indian Mathematical Society. He is the President of the Ramanujan Mathematical Society.He has pioneered several ideas in education & technology.
