OP CHOUDHARY is an IAS officer of 2005 batch,presently he is working as Collector of Raipur for around 2 years.He is youngest officer to hold this charge.His native place is Bayang village in raigarh district of Chhattisgarh.

He has worked in various capacities in various places like SDM in Durg Dist,as CEO ZILA PANCHAYAT in Janjgir & Surguja districts,as Municipal Commissioner of Capital city Raipur,as Media in-charge officer of Honurable Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh ,as Collector of Dantewada,Janjgir and Raipur district.

He has taken many path-breaking initiatives in all administrative capacities.As Municipal Commissioner of Raipur he launched more than 20 urban projects,which are landmarks in capital city.His lake revival and restoration projects were widely appreciated.

I would like to mention that Raipur has 2 SMART CITY projects, Naya Raipur and Old Raipur.Sir is playing important role in both the projects.Raipur has reduced the pollution level from 250+ to less than 50 in last 18 months in sir's leadership. His projects for environment,water,air,old age people and youth are really recommendable in Raipur.The concept of OXY READING ZONE,RTE PARDARSHEE for admission of poor children in private schools,BAPU KI KOOTIYA for old age people are unique in nature.

Around 2 months back BUSINESS STANDARD and entire state media has written a story on negotiation skills of sir...How he cracked down the 25 days long strike of 2 lakh teachers without any condition at midnight,while there was a BAND of opposition in entire chhattisgarh,from next morning...

As collector Dantewada he launched special educational projects like Tamanna, Nanhe Parinde,Chhu Lo Asman,Education City,Livelihood College etc.These projects are widely appreciated in various national and international media and forums.OP Choudhary was awarded with Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Public Administration in individual category,for year 2011-12.
