Parmod Kumar, State Programme Officer in Directorate of School Education, Panchkula, Haryana, began his career as a teacher in Haryana Education Department, working in Yamuna Nagar Distt. Haryana. He has worked to strengthen the education system and worked on grass root level with his innovative work in ICT and mobile learning. Due to his remarkable efforts Haryana State stood ahead of other states in implementation of Right to Education Act.

Parmod worked in close coordination with Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), UNESCO, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), Panchayati Raj Institutions, Women & Child Development Department (WCD), National Rural Health Mission Programme etc. He has contributed and authored series of books, journals and modules etc. on education and impaneled as Educational Specialist on various media channels. He has been awarded many times by various institutions and dignitaries including State Teacher Award by Hon'ble Governor of Haryana.
