Dr. Yugank Goyal studied engineering in India, law in the UK and finished his PhD in Economics from Netherlands and Germany. Dr Goyal is an Associate Professor of Economics at OP Jindal Global University and Deputy Director of International Institute for Higher Education Research and Capacity Building at the University. Earlier, he worked as a consultant in a private bank in India.

As a founding faculty member of OP Jindal Global University, he was instrumental in setting up the university, particularly engaged in various matters related to institution building. This included curriculum design, infrastructure and carving university policies for a number of matters. In his capacity as Assistant Dean of Research and International Collaborations, he led cultivation of research architecture of the law school in its formidable years, and spearheaded the initiative on collaborating with world's leading law schools and think tanks around the world.
