Sunil graduated from IIT Delhi and has attended Dana University, USA for a program in Process Management. He has 37 years of experience across automotive, energy, environmental and management consulting/M&A domains.

In the eighties, Sunil worked on import substitution projects related to balancing equipment in automotive and power sectors. On the Manufacturing side, he holds experience in running plant operations.

People development has been a passion with Sunil and through the years, he planned and organized delivery of multiple training modules in domains like Productivity and BPR.

In 2011 Sunil assumed responsibility as the CEO of Automotive Skills Development Counci (ASDC). ASDC is the first Sector Council in India and is a collaborative venture between the Government of India and the Automotive Industry with the mandate to address the Skilling requirements of the Automotive value chain covering R&D, Manufacturing, Sales, Service and Road Transportation domains.

Sunil is also Chairman at Qualifications Registration Committee of NSDC which is the cross sectoral committee overseeing Qualification Standards development work undertaken by various sector councils.
