Mr. Shantanu Prakash is the Chairman and Managing Director of Educomp Solutions Ltd. He is a first generation entrepreneur, who has almost single handedly redefined the concept of education delivery in India using the power of technology.

His innovative vision, perseverance and firm focus on school education sector have resulted in his company becoming India’s number one education company. Mr. Prakash has since lead the company to move beyond the K-12 business.

Mr. Prakash’s successful journey has been chronicled in a book titled ‘Stay Hungry Stay Foolish’ by Rashmi Bansal.

He has been the recipient of many awards over the years, some of the recent ones being ‘Shiksha Ratna Award of the Decade’, ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at Indian Education Awards 2011, Dare Entrepreneur Award 2011, ET Now’s 'Leap of Faith' Award in the category of Education for year 2010 and Dataquest ‘Pathbreaker of the Year 2010’ for outstanding contribution to education.
